How to get to the bus station

You will want to take route 81 to Kanchanaburi and our first class fare is 110 baht per ticket. You can also buy tickets directly at the platform where the bus stops (platform 10).

  • Train Travel

To reach this ecotourism city, you’ll need to get to Thonburi Railway Station (Bangkok Noi) by taxi, Uber, or BTS from your hotel or the airport. If you take a taxi or Uber, make sure to tell the driver clearly that you want to go to “Thonburi Train Station” or “Bangkok Noi Railway Station.”

Once at the station, you can purchase a ticket to Nam Tok directly. This is a third-class ticket and cannot be booked in advance.

  • Ticket price: Around 100 Baht/person (approx. 75,000 VND)
  • Train schedule: There are two trains to Kanchanaburi daily — a morning train departing at 7:50 AM and an afternoon train at 1:55 PM.

Travel tip: If you want to see the Bridge over the River Kwai from the train, you should ride one stop past Kanchanaburi Station. If you get off at Kanchanaburi Station, you won’t be able to see the bridge from the train — the train doesn’t cross it before that stop.
