Emei Mountain: Admiring the Stunning Scenery of China

1. Overview of Emei Mountain

Emei Mountain (Emei Shan) is one of China's Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains, located in Sichuan Province in southwestern China. Standing at 3,099 meters, Emei Shan is the highest peak among the four famous Buddhist mountains of China, which include Wudai Shan, Jiuhua Shan, and Putuo Shan. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Emei Mountain is renowned not only for its magnificent natural landscapes but also as an important pilgrimage site with many ancient Buddhist temples.

Emei Mountain attracts visitors with its pristine and mysterious beauty, challenging hiking trails, and a sacred spiritual atmosphere. For nature and culture enthusiasts, the journey to conquer Emei Mountain's peak offers an opportunity to enjoy tranquility, listen to the sounds of pine forests and flowing streams, and explore ancient temples. Particularly, reaching Golden Summit—the highest peak of Emei Mountain—allows visitors to admire breathtaking views and rare natural phenomena like the Buddha Halo.
