1. History of Nguyen Hue Apartment

The Nguyen Hue Apartment is located at 42 Nguyen Hue, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. From here, visitors can easily reach other famous locations in the city like the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ben Thanh Market.

The apartment was built in the early 1960s for the families of high-ranking officials of the old regime. It was one of the tallest buildings on Nguyen Hue Street at the time and was considered a symbol of the street.

After the liberation of Ho Chi Minh City, the building was allocated to workers of the Ba Son shipyard, most of whom were poor.

In 2015, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street officially opened. Property prices in the Nguyen Hue Apartment and its surroundings skyrocketed, becoming some of the most expensive in Ho Chi Minh City.
