How to get from Xi’an Airport to the city center

Frequently Asked Questions

The metro is one of the most convenient means to explore Xi'an, connecting many central areas and attractions. Buses and taxis are also popular; the Terracotta Army, being outside the city center, is more accessible by tourist buses, taxis, or private rentals.

Xi'an is famous for roujiamo, biang biang noodles, soup dumplings, and many dishes in the Muslim Quarter. You should choose busy stalls, clean cooking areas, and prioritize dishes that are cooked hot and served immediately.

From March to May and from September to November are quite ideal times to explore Xi'an due to the relatively pleasant weather. Spring and autumn are particularly suitable for visiting the Xi'an City Wall, the Terracotta Army, and outdoor historical sites.

Overall, Tay An is a fairly safe city with developed tourism infrastructure. When visiting crowded areas such as the Bell Tower, the Mosque Street, or the Great Swallow Tower area, you should still keep an eye on your belongings and be cautious during peak hours.
