Phu Bai Airport (commonly referred to as Hue Airport) was built by the French in 1940. On March 26, 1976, the airport was put into operation to serve civil and military aviation. On April 25, 1994, the airport was renovated, and the runway was extended to accommodate medium-sized aircraft. On August 29, 2007, Phu Bai Airport officially became the 4th international airport in our country.
