Hoằng Phúc Pagoda is one of the oldest pagodas in Central Vietnam, with over 700 years of history – a place once visited by King Trần Nhân Tông and the initial feudal dynasties. The pagoda features architecture from the Trần – Nguyễn era with its main gate, Buddha tower, and ancient statues, along with artifacts such as an 80 kg bronze bell and an intricately carved dragon wooden block. After many historical upheavals and natural disasters, the pagoda was restored in 2014, preserving its ancient charm while still meeting the needs of modern worship and pilgrimage. The tranquil space by the Kiến Giang River is a spiritual destination and peaceful retreat that many tourists choose when visiting Quảng Bình.
