1. Where is Chengdu Panda Park?

Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, also affectionately known as Chengdu Panda Park, is located on Futou Mountain, about 10 kilometers from downtown Chengdu. Established in 1987, the park is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and conservation of pandas and many other rare and endangered animals.

2. How to get to Chengdu Panda Park

2.1 Arrive in Chengdu

By air: Flying is the fastest and most convenient way to get to Chengdu. You can choose to connect or fly directly to Chengdu with VietJet, offering many attractive promotions.

From Chengdu airport, take bus 01 to Sheng Ti Yu Guan station. Then take subway line 03 or bus number 99 to Dong Wu Yuan station. From there, take bus 198 or 198A straight to the park.

Chengdu Panda Park is home to the world's largest captive panda population and ranks among China's most popular tourist destinations.

3.1 Explore the lush green park of more than 100 hectares

The park covers an area of 133 hectares, including 9 areas with many spectacular landscapes, including food storage areas, sleeping areas, medical stations, museums, research laboratories and training centers.

The highlight is the lush green space with more than 4,000 m2 of bamboo planted as food for the pandas and creating the closest environment to their natural habitat for them to adapt before being released into the wild.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the cool, pleasant atmosphere and see 80-100 pandas living scattered in many different areas. The best time for visitors to see giant pandas is in the morning, when they are most active. You should arrive at the park before 9 a.m. as staff will feed the pandas from 9 to 11 a.m.
