Welcome Message for the Inaugural Flight of VietJetAir By Ms. Chutathip Chareonlarp Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ho Chi Minh Office

On behalf of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ho Chi Minh Office I am delighted and honored to convey my warmest greetings to the executives and staffs of VietjetAir and sincerely congratulate you all as well as to extend my courteous welcome to all passengers on the inaugural flight of VietjetAir flying between Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Bangkok; the city of angels, the Kingdom of Thailand.

I would like to hope that this will be a unique experience for all of you flying with one of the most vibrant and fastest growing airlines in Vietnam to one of the best destinations in the world like Bangkok. 

Having been voted by international travellers as the “World’s Best City” for some consecutive years, Bangkok is endowed with various kinds of famous tourist attractions as well as hospitable services. These include beautiful temples and historic monuments, pristine parks, modern shopping malls, vibrant forms of entertainment, and interesting local lifestyle. Therefore, you should not miss witnessing some of them. But if you have time to make a one-day trip to more laidback destinations around Bangkok, then floating markets, fruit plantations in Nakhon Pathom and Samut Songkram province, cruising along the Chao Phraya River, “River of Kings” to the ancient city of Ayutthaya or  other surrounding areas is recommended.

In addition, I am certain that passengers will have many wonderful opportunities to experience first hand the diverse beauty of the Kingdom of Thailand in all places they visit throughout the country. On top of this, they will be touched by the warm Thai hospitality and ever-smiling people, the enchantment and uniqueness of our traditions and culture, as well as natural and historical destinations and attractions.  

I would also like to thank VietjetAir for providing Thailand the honour of being the first historic international flight out of Vietnam.  This will give greater exposure of Thailand and Vietnam to the people of both countries and bring about greater flows of people, too.

May I wish all the best to VietjetAir and its passengers and hope you have a wonderful time in Thailand. And as Vietnam’s traditional New Year has just started, may I wish you all a prosperous and successful life ahead. 

Finally, I certainly hope that the Kingdom of Thailand will have the opportunity to welcome you and your family again and again.
