VietJetAir & Viettel Post sign cooperation deal

(Ho Chi Minh City, 23 November 2012) – VietjetAir has inked a new mutual cooperation deal with Viettel Post Joint Stock (Viettel Post). The low-cost carrier – now the second largest airline in Vietnam – will become the exclusive transporter of postal services for Viettel Post and its subsidiaries in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Viettel Post will also serve as ticket agent for VietjetAir nationwide.

This exciting cooperation will allow both firms to raise the quality of service.

Luu Duc Khanh, Managing Director of VietjetAir, said: "This is another step forward for VietjetAir in our long-run development path. The cooperation will allow us to make use of our core strengths and facilitate each other's growth while offering our customers maximum benefits too."

Nguyen Thanh Hung, member of VietjetAir's Management Board, spoke about the prospects of VietjetAir and Viettel Post cooperation.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Deputy chairperson of VietjetAir's Management Board, emphasized the intensive participation of both parties in executing the cooperative deal.

VietjetAir now has seven domestic routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Nha Trang, Danang, Hai Phong Vinh and Hue, and Hanoi to Danang. The airline will launch further routes from Ho Chi Minh City Dalat and from Hanoi to Phu Quoc before the end of the year and the airline’s first international flights will be taking off by early next year.
