VietjetAir celebrates increased flight frequency with huge promotion

VietjetAir has announced plans to increase flight frequency on two domestic routes flying out of the country’s financial hub Ho Chi Minh City and one flight linking the capital Hanoi to Danang in mid-October.

As of October 14, 2012, the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route will have two round trips per day while the Ho Chi Minh City - Danang route will increase to three daily round trips. The Hanoi - Danang will also increase from one to two round trips per day.

To celebrate VietJetAir will also launch a promotion called, “More Flights, Less Costs, with tickets on expanded routes selling for only VND99,000 (US$4.5)”. There are 10,000 promotional tickets up for grabs for passengers travelling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City - Danang and Hanoi - Danang routes if travelling from October 14, 2012 to March 31, 2013 (terms and conditions are applied).

According to Desmond Lin, VietJetAir’s Director of Business Development, “VietJetAir is making a tremendous effort to serve our valued customers and entice more first time passengers by introducing more flights at even lower cost fares. With VietJetAir’s multiple domestic flight options and upcoming international routes, we believe that our passengers will soon enjoy a wide choice for business and tourism purposes both domestically and internationally”.

VietJetAir currently flies Airbus A320 aircraft between Vietnam’s four major hubs: Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang and Hanoi. The airline already offers 10 return flights a day across its network, with routes between Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, Hanoi - Danang, Ho Chi Minh City - Danang and Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang. The route linking Ho Chi Minh City and the northern city of Hai Phong will commence on October 1, 2012 with one return trip a day.

In late 2012, with the arrival of three further A320 aircraft to increase the fleet to six, VietJetAir will expand its network further, with new routes to more destinations in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asia. Routes currently under consideration include Hanoi - Phu Quoc, Hanoi - Dalat, Ho Chi Minh City – Hue, Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh and Ho Chi Minh City – Bangkok.
