VietjetAir appoints general sales agent for Thailand

(Ho Chi Minh City, 06/12/2012) - VietjetAir has revealed that the Thai travel agency QE Tour will serve as the low-cost carrier’s general sales agent in Thailand.

The announcement follows confirmation that VietjetAir’s first international route between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok is scheduled for February 10, 2013. Sales have already opened on www.vietjetair.cpm, which is now available in Thai as well as English and Vietnamese.

QE Tour will immediately begin developing sales channels for VietjetAir all across Thailand. The travel agency will also set up a Thai based hotline (+66 22 777 111) to help Thai customers and foreigners with all VietJetAir-related queries and schedules. 

Established in 1999, QE Tour is one of Thailand’s leading travel companies and has an extensive network of travel agents, tour agencies, sales outlets, and sales representatives in all major Thai cities and tourist centers throughout Thailand.

VietjetAir will initially launch the Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok service with one flight per day. The 90-minute flight will depart Tan Son Nhat Airport in Vietnam at 11am and return from Bangkok at 1.30pm the same afternoon from Suvarnabhumi airport. To celebrate the new connection there will be a special promotion held from 9pm to 11.59 pm on December 12 with tickets available for just VND12,000 or 17 baht—just over half a dollar!

Currently, VietjetAir has nine domestic routes linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vinh, Hue, Phu Quoc and Da Lat. The airline has declared that more international routes linking Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to other countries in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia will be unveiled in 2013.
