Vietjet opens ticket sales for the Ho Chi Minh City – Maldives route, connecting Vietnam with the holiday paradise

The new route will officially launch on December 5, 2026, with three return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Maldives via Colombo (Sri Lanka).

Operated by modern Airbus A320 aircraft, the flights are scheduled to depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) at 07:05 (local time) and land in Colombo (Sri Lanka) at 10:50 (local time); they will depart from Colombo to the Maldives at 12:15 (local time), landing at Malé International Airport (Maldives) at 13:10 (local time). On the return leg, the flights depart from the Maldives at 14:10 (local time), landing in Colombo at 16:05 (local time), and take off from Colombo to Ho Chi Minh City at 17:05 (local time), arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 23:50 on the same day (local time).
