Vietjet launches its newest international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) with Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

(Ho Chi Minh City, June 01st, 2016) – Vietjet today launched its newest international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) with Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The inaugural flight coded VJ825 that landed in Kuala Lumpur at around 12:00 local time, received a warm welcome by people and senior leaders from governments of Malaysia and Vietnam respectively. Among them were Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, senior leaders from Ministry of Transport of Malaysia and Vietnam respectively, as well as representatives from both countries’ authorities.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Member of the Central Committee of Vietnam Communist Party, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung appreciated the determination of Vietjet – a new age airline to create a bridge connecting Vietnam and Malaysia. He also applauded Vietjet for the airline’s efforts to offer safe aviation services which benefit people in both countries.

Passengers on the inaugural flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur were able to enjoy Malaysia traditional dances performed by Vietjet’s dancers and got special gifts from Vietjet’s flight attendants

The Ho Chi Minh City – Kuala Lumpur route is operated on a daily basis. Flying time per sector is about one hour and 55 minutes. The flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 9:30 (local time) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25 (local time). Return flights take off from Kuala Lumpur at 13:00 (local time) and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 13:55 (local time).
