This fight marks the first time a private airline becomes an official carrier for a diplomatic visit.

This visit was an occasion for the Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nha, Member of the Executive Council of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam and Abbot of Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi with 1,500 years of history, to visit Bodh Gaya. The land is considered the holy site of Buddhism since this is the place where Gautama Buddha obtained Enlightenment. Bodh Gaya now also houses Vietnam Phat Quoc Pagoda, which was also on the Most Venerable’s agenda.

During this visit, business delegation from Vietnam attended India-Vietnam Trade & Investment Forum in hope of seeking new investments and trade opportunities to enlarge the two nations’ cooperation. On this occasion, Vietjet has signed an agreement with Air Costa on the cooperation between both fleets, amongst other areas, in order to pave way for an airline alliance in India. In addition, Vietjet has also entered in a three-way agreement with Angel-Fairy Travel and Southeast Asia University on the preparation of a route connecting Vietnam, Thailand and India. The new route will be run by Vietjet Thailand and Vietjet Vietnam and projected for a launch this December.
