The Inauguration Ceremony Of Noi Bai International Terminal (T2) Welcoming The First Passengers

In the morning of 4th January 2015, Noi Bai International Termianl (T2) and VIP Department Guests, Noi Bai International Airport, which has the investment of nearly 18,000 billion of Japanese ODA loan, was inaugurated.

T2 Station has an area of 140,000 m2 which was designed with the idea of harmony with nature, energy saving. It is also fully equipped with modern aviation systems at international standards which are first applied in Vietnam such as automatic inspection security system for passengers. 96 check-in counters are arranged in 8 islands, 10 kiosks for passenger to do the check-in by themselves. There are 17 boarding gates, 14 of them have aerobridges.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai spoke at the inauguration ceremony of T2 terminal:“ T2 Terminal is the symbol of friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan, marking the cooperation between the two countries in many fields. T2 terminal is not only a huge project applied modern technology but also the transformation of Noi Bai International Airport. T2 terminal will be the gateway from Vietnam to the world and vice versa. Project T2 terminal will offer great potential for Noi Bai International Airport with a capacity of 25 million passengers by 2020”
