VietjetAir’s spreads wings nationwide

(Vietjet Air, Danang, 27 April, 2012) – Budget carrier Vietjet Air today launched its second route linking Vietnam’s main financial hub Ho Chi Minh City with Central Vietnam’s largest city Danang. With two daily return flights, the route operates with Airbus A320 aircraft.

On the same day, Vietjet Air also increased frequency on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route to eight return flights per day in order to provide businesspeople and tourists with more choices on flight times. Passengers flying with Vietjet Air on this major route will also have chance to avail of the carrier’s special “Fly 3, Get 1 Free” promotion, which offers one free flight for any customer purchasing three Eco- or Flexi-fare tickets from 1 May until 31 May.

Furthermore, the carrier’s sales office in Danang also opened on the same day at Indochina Tower, 74 Bach Dang, Hai Chau District to ease booking and payment for locals and tourists in the beachside city. On this occasion, the first 10 customers would be able to buy tickets for extra-low fares – starting at just VND299,000 ($US14) – while the first 10 customers of each day for the rest of the week will receive Vietjet Air’s specially designed fantasy handbags.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, deputy chairman of The People Committee of Danang City, said: “Vietjet Air’s new service to Danang will better help promote tourism, trading and investment into the city. People and tourists of the city and neighbouring localities will have a chance to enjoy Vietjet Air’s quality flights with low fares just like anyone else in the world with this triumph for the low cost carrier model in Vietnam. On behalf of the city’s authorities, I would like to show my gratitude at the carrier’s efforts to make this route a reality today.”

Vietjet Air’s commercial representative said: “We are pleased to see our second route opening today. This demonstrates our restless efforts and commitment to developing Vietnam’s aviation market by providing low-fare, high-quality flights to Vietnamese people and international tourists in this central city. The new route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Danang is an important stepping stone in our plan to spread our wings and reach more domestic and international destinations in the near future.”

Entering the Vietnamese aviation market in late 2011, Vietjet Air presently operates a fleet of three new Airbus A-320 aircraft. The carrier will launch a Hanoi – Nha Trang route on 19 May, 2012.
