VietJetAir warms up for Bangkok - HCMC route with US$10 fares

(Ho Chi Minh City, January 24) - Vietnam’s largest low-cost carrier, VietJetAir has launched a spectacular promotion with flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok available for only US$10 (THB306) on www.vietjetair.com for travelling from now until the end of 2013.

The airline’s first international route will open on February 10, 2013 (the first day of the Lunar New Year) with one flight per day connecting the Thai capital with Vietnam’s largest hub. This festive promotion is valid for flights from February 10 until the end of year.

For residents of Thailand, Vietnam’s largest hub is a gateway to the rest of the country and the good news is that thanks to VietJetAir’s extensive domestic network, and amazing deals, exploring Vietnam has never been as easy or as cheap,” said VietJetAir’s Business Development Director. “VietJetAir now flies from Ho Chi Minh City to every major tourist destination in the country. So whether you’re looking for a lazy beach holiday or something more cultural, you are sure to find your dream holiday spot.

From Ho Chi Minh City, passengers can take a short 50-minute flight to the “paradise island” of Phu Quoc – home to amazing unspoiled beaches with white sands and azure waters – for just fromTHB570,” added the director. “For the same price they can also fly from Ho Chi Minh City to the more developed beach city of Nha Trang, where you will find fabulous resorts, delicious seafood, and a water park for the kids.

For just THB510 VietJetAir also flies from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue and Danang in Central Vietnam. The former imperial capital of feudal Vietnam, Hue is a fascinating, historic destination and home to the poetic Perfume River. Meanwhile Danang is home to incredible beaches, some of Asia’s finest golf courses, a string of top class resorts and two world heritage sites: the wonderfully preserved ancient town of Hoi An and My Son, once the main religious sanctuary in the Kingdom of Champa.

You can also easily visit the breathtaking Halong Bay – just jump on a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong in the northeast of Vietnam (THB1,010) and you are right on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the world’s “seven natural wonders” and a truly awe-inspiring geomorphic spectacle with thousands of uninhabited karst islets, all of which can be explored on a period junk.

VietJetAir’s domestic network currently links Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Dalat, Danang, Phu Quoc, Hue, Nha Trang, Vinh and Hai Phong. The airline will launch its first international route between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok on February 10, 2013. The airline also plans to launch a flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to other Southeast and Northeast Asian countries before the end of 2013.
