VietjetAir unveils two new Airbus planes

VietjetAir has added two more brand-new Airbus A320-200 aircrafts to its modern fleet on 2 & 3 Jun 2013 as the airline aims to meet growing demand for the peak season. The two new aircraft will help VietjetAir schedule 1,600 flights over the summer period, further expand its domestic network and add more international routes later this year.

VietjetAir has also inked a deal with Airbus to utilize the company’s "Sharklet" technology – a special wing-tip device that allows the new Airbus A320 to fly faster and save on fuel costs. With a fleet of modern, eye-catching aircraft, not to mention the incredible promotions and professional services, VietjetAir has quickly become the fastest growing airline in Vietnam and the country’s largest low-cost carrier

“VietjetAir will continue to add more new aircraft as we expand our services to meet the growing demand of our valued customers and travelers in Vietnam and Thailand,” said Desmond Lin, Business Development Director of VietjetAir.

“As part of our strategy, we aim to utilize the most professional service providers working in aviation – that’s why we proud to unveil two more brand-new airbus planes plus the Sharklet wing-tip devices. If we can save more, you can fly more!”

According to Lin the new aircraft will not only serve demand for more flights but also help support a stable flight schedule. “Now we can better manage periodical technical checks and maintenance without adjusting our flight schedule,” added Lin.
