VietjetAir and Saigon Tourist link up to promote domestic tourism

To help kick-start Hai Phong and The Hong River’s Year of Tourism in 2013, VietjetAir and Saigon Tourist today announced the launch of a joint tourism promotion scheme in order to lure more domestic and international travelers to the country’s northeastern shores.

The deal, signed in Hai Phong, will help provide travelers with low-cost tours, prioritized travelling terms and other associated services, all of which will help make Hai Phong and its neighboring localities grow as a competitive tourism destination in Vietnam.

Desmond Lin, Business Development Director of VietJetAir, said: “Our cooperation with current tourism associations and traveling agencies to help promotion national tourism has always yielded great success, which encouraged us to sign this deal with Saigon Tourist, the leading travel agency in Vietnam. With our expanding network, a new and modern fleet and friendly, favorable low-cost flights, VietjetAir is confident that our cooperation with Saigon Tourist will bring outstanding promotion in not only tourism but also trading and investment for this specific region in 2013.”

On October 1, 2012, VietjetAir launched the airline’s latest route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Hai Phong, the country’s northeastern port city. Initially, the route will operate one round trip a day flying with Airbus A320. The flight from Ho Chi Minh City will take off at 9.50am and land in Hai Phong two hours later. The return flight will set off at 12.30am.
