Vietjet operates Ho Chi Minh City – Bangkok route from January 21, 2022

(Ho Chi Minh City, January 17, 2022) – To further expand its international operation, Vietjet will relaunch the services linking Ho Chi Minh City with Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok starting January 21, 2022. The airline will operate two weekly round trips on every Friday and Saturday between Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Thailand’s largest aviation hub.

The service resumption between the two financial, cultural and travel hubs will also contribute to the countries’ economic recovery while meeting the increasing travel demand of people in the region, especially when the Lunar New Year holidays draw near and the peak travel season in summer follows.”

In Thailand, Vietjet currently operates an expansive domestic flight network including the services from Bangkok to top business and travel destinations such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani, Udon Thani, Khon Kae and Ubon Ratchathani in addition to other cross regional routes.

The airline has also resumed a series of international routes connecting Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City with Tokyo (Narita International Airport), Taipei, Seoul (Incheon International Airport) and Singapore with one round trip per week each since early January 2022. In the next phase, it will reopen its entire international flights and look to open new routes to India and Russia, etc.

Vietjet has thoroughly prepared for the resumption of regular international flights with new aviation products and affordable fares to offer its passengers safe and enjoyable flying experiences on new and modern aircraft. Especially, the airline will offer free Covid-19 PCR test packages to all passengers flying internationally from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
