Vietjet officially gears up for Hanoi-Taipei and HCMC-Kaohsiung routes

(Ho Chi Minh City, October 19, 2016) – Today Vietjet hold the official announcement ceremony for the new routes of Hanoi – Taipei and Ho Chi Minh City-Kaohsiung in order to meet the increasing travel demand of people and tourists, looking to boost regional integration and trade. Mr. Shih Che, Deputy Mayor of Kaohsiung; Ms. Tseng Tzu Wen, Director-General of Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau; Mr. Tran Duy Hai, Head of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei; Vietjet leaders and high-ranking dignities from Vietnam and Taiwan.

The Hanoi-Taipei will be operated on a daily basis from October 30, 2016 with the flight time of 2 hours 45 minutes per leg. The flight takes off from Hanoi at 14:05 and lands in Taipei at 18:00 (local time). The return flight (will) departs at 19:10 and arrives in Hanoi at  21:20 (local time).

The HCMC-Kaohsiung route will be launched on December 12, 2016 with 5 return flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The flight, which lasts 3 hours 30 minutes per leg, departs from HCMC at 02:10 and lands in Kaohsiung at 06:30 (local time). The return flight takes off at 08:15 and lands in HCMC at 10:45.

The Hanoi – Busan route will be operated on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from December 16, 2016. Flying time per leg is around four hours and thirty minutes. Flights take off Hanoi at 01:00 and land in Busan at 7:00 (local time). Return flights depart Busan at 08:00 (local time) and arrive in Hanoi at 11:05. Tickets are now open at www.vietjetair.com and on all Vietjet’s other channels.

To celebrate the new routes, Vietjet also announces today the sales of 150,000 promotional air tickets priced only from USD0 under “12pm, It’s time to Vietjet” from October 25, 26 and 27 at www.vietjetair.com. The promotion applies for all routes from Vietnam to Kaohsiung, Taipei, Tainan, Busan, Seoul and Hong Kong. The travel period is from October 30, 2016 to March 25, 2017 (excluding public holidays). For the new routes Ho Chi Minh City – Hong Kong, in particular, it will be from December 9, 2016; from December 12, 2016 for Ho Chi Minh City – Kaohsiung route; from December 11, 2016 for Hai Phong – Seoul route; and from December 16, 2016 for Hanoi – Busan route.
