Vietjet leads flight capacity between Vietnam and Thailand, resuming Bangkok - Danang route

(Bangkok, March 2, 2022) – Being the operator with most flight services between Vietnam and Thailand, Thai Vietjet has announced the resumption of its international service linking Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok with the central beach city of Danang in Vietnam, starting March 27, 2022.

In the early stage, the international service between Bangkok (via Suvarnabhumi International Airport) and Danang will be operated with three flights a week on every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with the flight time is around 1 hour and 40 minutes per leg. Further frequency can be added later subject to market demand.

Passengers can easily purchase flight tickets now with fare from only VND280.000 (approx. USD12) at www.vietjetair.com, Vietjet Air mobile app, Facebook www.facebook.com/vietjetvietnam (“Booking” section) and the airline’s global ticket agencies, etc.

Vietjet provides the largest flight capacity between Vietnam and Thailand with the current Bangkok - Ho Chi Minh City route operated up to 6 flights a week. In addition, Thai Vietjet will launch new service connecting Bangkok and the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh in March, with more destinations to be added to its flight map in coming time. In the next phase, Vietjet will reopen its entire international flights and look to open new routes to India and Australia, etc. to meet demand of passengers in Asia-pacific region.

With recent decisions of reducing travel restrictions, international travelers arriving in Thailand from 1st March 2022 only have to take Day 1 RT-PCR test and apply Covid insurance value of only US$20,000. International travelers arriving in Vietnam from 15th March 2022 are required to take only 1 ATK/RT-PCR test on Day 1 and required Covid insurance value of only US$10,000.
