Vietjet exaggerates contribution of the revolutioners

(Vietjet, Thua Thien Hue, December 7, 2019) – Vietjet delegates on Thursday December 5 paid a visit to the General Nguyen Chi Thanh memorial monument located in the central Thua Thien - Hue Province’s Quang Tho Commune.

The delegates lit incense to pray for the General, who was born and grew up in the commune. General Thanh was the first chairman of Vietnam Youth Federation.

The visit was part of the campaign “I love my Fatherland” that Vietjet and the federation are co-organizers. The campaign takes place in 63 provinces and cities across the country. It includes activities designed to spread patriotism as well as pride on Vietnamese cultural and historical values.

The campaign also targets to educate young generation with tradition and facilitate the practice of patriotism.

The delegates took chance to learn about the General’s life, career and great contribution to the revolution and the development of the nation.

On the occasion, Vietjet delegates handed 15 scholarship packages to poor students with good academic records. The students were those prominent ones representing Quang Tho Commune. The aviation company also inaugurated a playground built by Vietjet donation in Quang Tho Primary School.

The delegates gave teachers and students in the commune with books about General Thanh in an attempt to nourish the patriotism among young generations.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Duong Hoai Nam, chairman of Vietjet Youth Federation, said: “With the campaign “I love my Fatherland”, Vietjet expects to spread the message confirming that patriotism not only means efforts to contribute to the development of the country but also respecting the sacrifice by the generations had fought for today peace of the country.”

Nam added that he believed the message would be meaningful to everyone in the country thanks to the active participation of Vietjet’s youth delegates.

Vietjet is an international airline that has 129 flight routes in Vietnam and other countries; of which, HCM City/Hanoi-Hue are considered the important ones operated by Vietjet. Vietjet committed to make the flying dream of every one come true.

Vietjet also pledged to contribute to the charity service as well as highlight the responsibility among young generation to the growth of the nation.
