Vietjet and Tho Xuan Airport welcome the 1 millionth passengers to Thanh Hoa in 2019

(Vietjet, Thanh Hoa, December 11, 2019) - On the morning of December 10, 2019, Tho Xuan Airport celebrated the 1 millionth passenger to Thanh Hoa in 2019. The special guest was flying on VJ242 flight of Vietjet departing from Ho Chi Minh City.

The ceremony to welcome the 1 millionth passenger in 2019 at Tho Xuan Airport was attended by Vietjet’s Vice President Do Xuan Quang, Chairman of ACV Lai Xuan Thanh, Director of Tho Xuan Airport Tran Sy Hien and leaders, representatives of other parties operating here.

Mr. Le Van Quyen is the 1,000,000th passenger in 2019 of Tho Xuan Airport and received two international return tickets from Vietjet. The 999,999th passenger Ms. Ha Thi Hue and the 1,000,001st passenger Mr. Le Dinh Tung receive one domestic return ticket for each from the new-age carrier.

This is an important event marking the outstanding development of Tho Xuan Airport since receiving the first flight in 2013. In nearly 7 years of operation, the airport of Thanh Hoa province has served more than 4.5 million passengers, of which more than 2.2 million have been served by Vietjet.

Over the past 5 years, Vietjet has been continuously developing the flight network in Thanh Hoa, connecting the sacred land with extraordinary people with major cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Can Tho. The number of customers served by Vietjet accounts for nearly 60% of the total number through the airport.

The new-age carrier is expected to continue developing the flight network in Thanh Hoa in the near future to meet the travel needs of people and the plan to upgrade to an international airport by 2020.
