Lunar New Year Promotional Tickets in High Demand

Vietjet 48-hour promotional program which offers discount tickets priced at only VND590,000 on flights between HCMC and Hanoi was much sought after. Starting from 12am on 2 February 8, 2012, the program saw promotional tickets being sold so quickly that Vietjet decided to inject 15% more of the originally projected number of promotional tickets into operation. Totally, 2,800 promotional tickets were sold on the air carrier’s website www.Vietjet.com, which attracted up to 50,000 visitors during the promotional time.

Tran Thu Trang, a representative of a family that had purchased 18 tickets at same time for their mutual trip, said: “We usually visit the website to be well updated about Vietjet’s promotional programs. To get these 18 tickets, we had to prepare all input information such as destinations, time and name of travelers, etc. in advance. We certainly had to be flexible in adjusting the information to make them fit well in the flights that had cheap tickets. Most importantly we all had to be very patient while booking and got as many computers for booking at the same time as possible.”

Vietjet’s commercial representative said: “Due to high traffic on the website during the promotion period, slow connection to the website sometimes happens. With such high interest, to purchase such low-cost tickets, clients have to be more patient, more quickly and accurately manipulate. Vietjet will continue to carry out more promotional programs in the future in order to increase flying opportunities for Vietnamese and international tourists. We have seen all recent flights fully loaded and always try to make our flights be on time, friendly, and convenient with low cost.”

So as to energize guests after the Lunar New Year holiday, Vietnam’s new budget airline Vietjet was offering promotion seats priced from VND590,000 (US$28) only for all flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from March 1st to April 25, 2012. Bookings for the promotional flights were just available on www.Vietjet.com within 48 hours starting from 12am on 2 February, 2012.

Also, Vietjet currently carry out “Show 2012 Tet Pictures, Acquire Vietjet Tickets” on its Facebook page www.facebook.com/Vietjetvietnam. The program was launched on 15 January, 2012 and will last until 23h59’ on 11 February, 2012. Accordingly, all facebookers that “like” Vietjet Facebook’s page can post their Tet-themed pictures on its wall during the competition period. Owner of pictures that record the most “like” will be the winner and be awarded return air tickets and many fancy gifts by Vietjet.
