
The flight of Vietjet took off from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Don international airport on the morning of March 3, 2021 was the very first flight to land since its temporary closure to ensure COVID-19 pandemic prevention.
Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Permanent Vice President of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, along with the steering committee of Van Don international airport and leaders of Vietjet attended the event to welcome the first flight to Quang Ninh province in the Year of the Ox.


On the flight this morning, Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, Vietjet Managing Director believed Van Don international airport would quickly return to its bustle: "We are committed to do our best to bring people and tourists back to Van Don in particular and Quang Ninh in general in the safest way possible. Vietjet has been pioneering and being ready for all means of safety in preventing pandemic to resume domestic and international flight routes. Let’s join hands with Vietjet in COVID-19 prevention and control to bring lives back to normal and promote local economic activities”.
