Vietjet launches the new joint venture ThaiVietjet

On 20th December 2014, in Bangkok (Thailand), Vietjet celebrated receiving its Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) enabling the airline to offer even more amazing flying opportunities to travellers in Thailand and in the region through its new joint venture, Thai Vietjet.



At a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of Vietnam H.E Nguyen Tan Dung, Mrs. Kobkarn Suritasat Wattanarangkul, the Minister of Tourism and Sport of Thailand, and many other distinguished delegates of the two nations. The ceremony received great interest from representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Department of Civil Aviation of  Thailand, the Vienamese overseas and Thai businessmen, also the agents and partners from Thailand. Vietjet’s international flights set for take-off at the new Terminal in Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport

(Hanoi, 19 December, 2014) – Vietjet has announced that the airline will relocate international departures from Terminal One (T1) to the new Terminal (T2) at Noi Bai International Airport in the capital city.

Vietjet receives one more aircraft under the contract with Airbus

On 17th December  2014, the second A320 aircraft under the 100 aircraft order between Vietjet and Airbus already arrived in Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 7:50 am (local time) after its first journey from Hamburg (Germany). The brand-new aircraft had been delivered thanks to the finance supports from GE Capital Financial Corporation (USA) and TP Bank (Vietnam).

Vietjet celebrates inaugural flight on Ho Chi Minh City – Taipei route by announcing special flight

On 12 December 2014, Vietjet officially operates its debut flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Taipei (Taiwan). On this occasion, Vietjet declares its special flight on 20 March, 2015 as part of an initiative called “Spread the Love” for residents with Vietnam and Taiwan nationalities in Taiwan as well as Taiwanese people residing in Vietnam. Registration for this exciting program starts on 12 December, 2014 and ends on 15 January 2015. Vietjet celebrates a new Airbus A320 in Toulouse

Toulouse, 26 November, 2014 – Today Vietjet representatives are in Toulouse to accept delivery of a brand new Airbus 320—the first of 100 aircraft ordered by the Vietnamese carrier from the European aviation giant. The delivery of this brand-new jet marks a major milestone in the development of Vietjet, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus in September, 2013 before finalizing the deal at the Singapore Airshow in February, 2014. After Vietjet and Airbus complete all delivery-related documentation, the new Airbus will fly to Vietnam where it is scheduled to land in Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on 27 November, 2014. The new aircraft is also the very first aircraft to feature the symbol of Vietcombank – Vietnam’s leading import and export bank and commercial sponsor – on the fuselage. Vietcombank is also a leading aircraft sale-leaseback arranger in Vietnam.
