VietJetAir to invite the winners of Iron Chef Vietnam to cook in-flight meals



(VietJetAir, HCMC, 15 May 2012) – Vietnam’s leading low cost carrier VietJetAir will have the winners of TV cooking show Iron Chef Vietnam 2012 in its chef team to make new recipes of its in-flight meals. The show, which has series of competition between two professional chefs, will be aired for the first time in Vietnam on Vietnam Television VTV3 at 11am from 6 May 2012.
The winner of each show will be awarded 20 million VND ($1,000). Also as honoured chefs, they will be then well positioned to take part in the international cooking contests sponsored by VietJetAir.

Iron Chef is a Japanese television cooking show produced by Fuji Television. The series, which premiered on October 10 1992, is a stylized cook-off featuring guest chefs challenging one of the show's resident "Iron Chefs" in a timed cooking battle built around a specific theme ingredient. In Vietnam, the chefs have to make five dishes from only one material and professional chefs and cuisine specialists will be selected to the jury. Iron Chef is now franchised and aired in many different countries.

VietJetAir to launch flights to Nha Trang and Danang from Hanoi - Promotion Fares from 299,000VND


(VietJetAir, HCMC, 9 May 2012) – VietJetAir is to launch direct daily flights to the central cities of Nha Trang and Danang from the capital city Hanoi. The route Hanoi – Nha Trang will make its first take off on May 19 2012. The Hanoi – Danang route is now open for sale with flights daily commencing on 24 May 2012.

VietJetAir’s spreads wings nationwide

(VietJetAir, Danang, 27 April, 2012) – Budget carrier VietJetAir today launched its second route linking Vietnam’s main financial hub Ho Chi Minh City with Central Vietnam’s largest city Danang. With two daily return flights, the route operates with Airbus A320 aircraft.
On the same day, VietJetAir also increased frequency on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route to eight return flights per day in order to provide businesspeople and tourists with more choices on flight times. Passengers flying with VietJetAir on this major route will also have chance to avail of the carrier’s special “Fly 3, Get 1 Free” promotion, which offers one free flight for any customer purchasing three Eco- or Flexi-fare tickets from 1 May until 31 May.
Furthermore, the carrier’s sales office in Danang also opened on the same day at Indochina Tower, 74 Bach Dang, Hai Chau District to ease booking and payment for locals and tourists in the beachside city. On this occasion, the first 10 customers would be able to buy tickets for extra-low fares – starting at just VND299,000 ($US14) – while the first 10 customers of each day for the rest of the week will receive VietJetAir’s specially designed fantasy handbags.

(VietJetAir, Ho Chi Minh City, 5 April 2012) – Vietnam’s leading low-cost carrier VietJetAir today added one more Airbus A320 to its fleet at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. The narrow-body aircraft (registration VN-A669) is also the first plane in Vietnam emblazoned with the country’s new official tourism logo and slogan. The new national emblem — a stylized five-petal lotus accompanied by the words, “Vietnam – Timeless Charm” – adorns both sides of the plane’s front section. The latter part of the plane, harmoniously coloured red and yellow, represents the national flag of Vietnam.

VietJetAir Announces New Routes & Flight Frequency Increase


Budget carrier VietJetAir is to spread its wings to more business and tourism hubs of Vietnam. Besides the current HCMC-Hanoi route, the carrier will launch new services between Ho Chi Minh City and Danang on April 27 and between Hanoi and Nha Trang on May 19. The former will have two flights a day and the later will operate one daily flight per day.

(VietJetAir, Ho Chi Minh City, 20 February 2012) – VietJetAir today announced the signing of an Inventory Technical Management (ITM) Services Agreement with Singapore International Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC). The event was well arranged on the occasion of the Singapore Airshow 2012 held between Feb14-19, 2012. Under the flexibly-timing agreement, SIAEC will provide VietJetAir’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft with a wide spectrum of ITM services, including spares pooling and support, as well as component repair and overhaul. ITM services ensure high dispatch reliability for VietJetAir as the carrier can lower aircraft maintenance cost and eliminate risk of inventory obsolescence. The agreement is in line with VietJetAir’s strategies to professionalize its fleet, which is projected to increase to 15 aircraft by 2015.
